Disseminated graphite mineralization from the "Aracoiaba" region is associated to impure
marbles and gneisses rich in Al, in metamorphic soils of granulite facies. The
paleoenvironment was favorable to the accumulation and preservation of organic materials
forming a large metasedimentar belt of granulite facies, cut by igneous rocks. Such features
are equivalent to those of the Canadian deposits of Lac Knife, Asbury Graphite and Peerless
British, described by Simandl & Kennan in 1997.
